Booking and Payment

Session Retainer: A non-refundable retainer of $100 is required to formally secure and confirm your session date and time.

Cancellations: The retainer is non-refundable in the event of client cancellation. Should you need to reschedule, we require at least 72 hours' notice. We will gladly apply your retainer to a newly scheduled session within 90 days, subject to availability.

Late Arrival Policy: Your scheduled time is dedicated solely to you. A late fee of $50 will be applied for arrivals exceeding 25 minutes past the scheduled start time. Extensive delays may result in a shortened session time or the inability to capture the full scope of images.

Final Payment: The remaining balance for your session package is due on the day of your session.

The Session Experience

Attire and Undergarments: We offer a selection of beautiful maternity gowns. Please ensure you wear seamless, neutral, or skin-toned undergarments that will not show through lighter or form-fitting dresses. Alternatively, you may wear undergarments that perfectly match the color of the specific gown you choose.

Hair and Makeup: Professional hair and makeup are NOT included in the session fee. We highly recommend arriving "photo-ready." Professional makeup artists specialize in techniques that ensure your features translate beautifully under studio lighting, enhancing your natural radiance.

Partner's Attire: If your partner is participating, we recommend they wear solid, neutral colors (black, white, grey, or navy) that complement your gown choice. A well-fitted t-shirt or dress shirt and dark slacks/jeans are usually perfect. Please ensure their clothes are ironed or wrinkle-free.

Children's Preparation: If bringing small children, please ensure they have had their nap and a snack beforehand. It’s a good idea to bring one small, quiet toy or book for them in case they need to wait during the individual shots.

Preparing for the Session:

Rest: For your best appearance, we strongly recommend aiming for a full 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep the night before your session.

Hydration: Please drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session. Staying well-hydrated is key to achieving that radiant, glowing skin.

Nails: Ensure your nails (fingers and toes) are neatly manicured, as they will often be visible in close-up shots of your bump.

Personal Props: We encourage you to bring meaningful items to personalize your photos, such as ultrasound photos, baby shoes, a sentimental blanket, or a favorite teddy bear.

During the Session

Trust the Photographer: We have carefully planned the session and know the best angles and lighting. Trust our expertise as we guide you through poses and expressions. Simply follow our directions—we will handle the technical aspects.

Relax and Breathe: It's normal to feel a little awkward at first! Take a deep breath. Focus on your baby and your partner (if present). Genuine connection and comfort translate beautifully into photos.

Communicate: If you feel uncomfortable in a specific pose, need a break, or have a prop you forgot to mention, please tell us immediately. Your comfort is our priority.

Enjoy the Process: We aim to make this a fun and memorable experience. By arriving rested and prepared, you can fully relax and enjoy celebrating your journey into motherhood!

Photo Delivery and Usage

Image Selection & Editing: Mariento Photography is dedicated to delivering a polished, high-quality final product.

Turnaround Time: Your beautifully edited, high-resolution digital images will be ready for viewing and download within 4 business days of your session.

Image Gallery & Download: You will receive your photos via a private, secure online gallery. You must download all images within 30 days (1 month) of receiving the gallery link. After this 30-day period, the gallery will be automatically and permanently deleted from the server, and a restoration fee may apply if you require the images at a later date.

Model Release: Mariento Photography reserves the right to use images from your session for studio promotion, display, and social media sharing. If you prefer that your images not be used for promotional purposes, please inform us in writing before your session.
